Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist as well as a businessperson. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, TV personality an author, philanthropist on television and television for more than ten years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Her birthplace was in Greece then moved to England at the age of sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. At 21 she became president of the famous debating club The Cambridge Union' and was the very first foreign student to hold this title. She was a conservative syndicated author after her graduation and, when The Huffington Post launched a year after, she created an online platform to voice opinions that provided criticisms of political situations. Her status as a celebrity helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna gained fame after she decided in 2003 to run as an Independent Candidate in the California Recall Election in order to replace Governor Davis. Aside from that she was the leader of the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes classified her as the 12th most influential woman in the media industry in 2009 and Guardian also ranked her on the list of Top 100 media during the same year. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and the post was made president by the media company. This was a huge acquisition that included a number of AOL products at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Her parents were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. Konstantinos was a business consultant as well as a journalist. Although she had a close relation to her mother and father the bond between them that shaped her. In her early years, she exhibited her leadership qualities for which she remains well-known. at the age of 16 she emigrated to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. She graduated in 1972 with an advanced degree in Economics. After graduating, she worked as a columnist and critic and hosting a show on TV. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She started writing books with his guidance for editing.
