Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous skills, such as being able to direct, act production, create plays teaching, as well as be the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, being the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain.
